TMI for Dummies

Every organization that gathers and stores your private information has a responsibility to protect it. We all blindly count on these behemoths to do the right thing, but all the policies in the world cannot overcome human fallibility combined the nosey town gossip. More importantly, while expecting these firms to protect this information, too many are unwittingly giving it all away on social media without considering the consequences.

Don't Tell Me to Play Nice

I was walking down the driveway today thinking about why it makes me so angry when I read women who blog their unexamined spleen on a public site and the fawning there-there support they receive for making colossally bad decisions. Oh, it’s not every story, or the first account, it’s the repeated storyline that reveals such a complete lack of self-awareness or any real desire for change that pisses me off. Or it is the sense I get that they would rather revel in their victimhood than fix it. At some point, it becomes a choice, not an accident.

Sure, I could give some self-admitted bipolar and off balance blogger advice and get love, love, loev in return or find myself in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent for laughs, but I didn’t see the insidious creep of negative happening in my life. When Did You Know?

When did you know? When life smacks you in the face, do you realize that you saw it coming all along? I spent five years in an on-again/off-again relationship with a very successful lawyer. We lived 3000 miles apart most of the time, so it was good that he could afford to fly my poor student self around the country and world pretty much at whim. It also helped him as he was a pathological liar. He led many lives, and it took me years to unravel the truth. But I was not surprised. You see from almost day one, I knew.
